Every year my goals are becoming less climatic and more laid back. But one area I plan to focus more on is reading in 2023.
2022 saw a lot of scrolling, endless Hrs spent on YouTube, binge watching shows (some of which I didn’t even enjoy.) My screen time hit an all-time high last year, and that’s not good.
One of the reasons I’m blogging more is to spend less time on social media. There are other reasons, sure, but I’ll get into those later.
But for now, here are a few of the books I plan to read this next year.
The Original Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. I read this in high school and lost my original copies sometime in college. This trilogy is a part of the Essential Legends Collection. Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command.
Fairy Tale by Stephen King. I’m a huge Stephen King fan and this one has had me intrigued. I have the audiobook so that’s how I’ll get through this one. .
The Four Secret Projects by Brandon Sanderson. I backed this on kickstarter so I’ve been pretty excited about them for awhile now.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. This is my favorite novel of all time. I read this every year. So it is always on my list.
Now I know that I’ll read other books. My friend Becky Dean has a new Science Fiction series I’m excited about, and I’m hoping Steve Rzasa releases another Mercury book soon as well.
But less YouTube, less TV, less Social Media, and more reading is my biggest goal for the year.
What books are you hoping to read in the next year?
